| Welcome to the DISTRICT OFFICE online
Leadership module. Although all employees provide leadership in certain situations, most organizations attach formal leadership responsibilities to certain positions - often referred to as “administration” or “management”. These “Leadership positions” play a critical part in defining and articulating the vision and goals of the organization and ensuring the work of the organization is directed towards achievement of that vision and those goals. This module has been designed to assist school jurisdictions in finding the right people to fill these key roles. |

| Individuals interested in applying for posted Leadership positions
in one or more of our member districts can do it online! To do so you will need
to create a Leadership Candidate File. This file is
similar to, but distinct from the candidate file that can be developed in the other two
employment categories - Teaching and Support Staff. It is a two part dossier consisting
of an application form and supporting documents. The application form gathers personal, educational and work-related information. As a supplement to the information contained in the application form, Leadership candidates are encouraged to upload supporting documents. These documents (resume, letters of reference, evaluations/performance appraisals, transcripts, certificates, etc.) provide added depth to your portfolio. Both the application form and uploaded documents (converted to pdf by DISTRICT OFFICE online to facilitate viewing) are securely stored in the DISTRICT OFFICE online database and can be accessed only by authorized personnel in those school jurisdictions to which you have applied. |

Creating a Leadership File |

| Creation of a Leadership Candidate File begins by clicking the ”APPLY“ button in a DISTRICT OFFICE online Leadership Job Posting. It is important to note that there are two (2) types of Leadership Candidate Files BASIC and PROFESSIONAL. All Leadership files start out as BASIC but can be upgraded to PROFESSIONAL. | |
| The BASIC Leadership Candidate File is job specific. There is no fee for establishing a BASIC Leadership file, but a new file has to be created for every application. There is also no limit on the number of BASIC Leadership files that a candidate may create, but each file must have a distinct username and password. Documents are NOT transferable between BASIC Leadership files. | |
| A PROFESSIONAL Leadership Candidate File can be used for multiple applications. This eliminates the need to complete the application form and upload documents for each new application. One username/password combination to remember is another significant advantage. The Professional Leadership file can, of course, be updated as required to ensure the contents are current and Professional membership can be extended from one year to the next if required. PROFESSIONAL membership requires pre-payment of an Annual Membership Fee - $11.81. The fee can be paid online through PayPal once a file has been activated. | |
Accessing your Leadership File |

| Once your file has been created, you can access it by entering your username and password using the secure login form on the left. Successful login will open your personalized “Candidate Menu” which provides links to all sections of your file along with other useful tools. | |
